How I work

Three areas, one question: where is the next advantage? This page explains the method. Match reports, opposition analysis and presentations are shared privately on request.

01

Match preparation

From opponent analysis to actionable plans. An analysis is only useful if players can act on it. Preparation follows the Analysis Circle I worked with at Finland’s national team: plan, observe, analyse, then feed back to staff and players.

  • Opposition reports: threats, weaknesses and tactical tendencies.
  • Set-piece strategies and planning.
  • Player-specific instructions alongside group tactical meetings.
  • Pre- and post-match reporting, statistics and video breakdown.
  • In-game adjustments when the plan meets reality.

02

Training

Ideas into behaviours. Team and individual. Training is where a game model becomes habits. I build sessions around clear principles, then work with players one to one so the ideas hold under pressure. The same thinking sits behind the Advantage Game.

  • A structured playing style with clear principles.
  • Individual technical and tactical development.
  • Standards, cohesion and a competitive culture.
  • Practical and theoretical sessions for young players, aligned with Swedish FA curricula.

03

Analysis & recruitment

Evidence, context and projection. Evaluating a player means asking what they do, why it works in their current environment, and whether it will work in yours. At Columbus Crew that meant live scouting across Scandinavia and reports built to support the club’s decisions.

  • Player profiling against a club’s game model and positional needs.
  • Decision support: tactical fit, market availability, cost and development trajectory.
  • Academy data work: at AIK I built the academy’s statistical database.
  • Opposition analysis combining data, video and tactical synthesis.
